About the project
The project will see accessibility upgrades to the main hall and stage, construction of a new connection between the existing kitchen and foyer, foyer refurbishment, upgrades to the bathroom amenities, three new meeting rooms, and improved acoustics in the main hall.
Location
The project will be delivered at Kernot Hall on Princes Drive in Morwell.
Project Delivery
Latrobe City Council is delivering this project in partnership with the Victorian Government. The contract for the construction works has been awarded to local contractor Langden Constructions.
What to Expect
Fencing has been erected around the work site. Access to parking and the surrounding precinct will see minimal impact, with no ongoing changes.
Every effort will be made to minimise the impacts to the community during the construction works. Working hours will restricted to between 7.00am to 6.00pm from Monday to Friday (except in special circumstances).
During construction there will be additional activity in the area, and Kernot Hall will be closed for bookings. Our friendly Venue Operations team will be happy to assist you with booking one of our other venues, and can contacted at venue.operations@latrobe.vic.gov.au

The demolition is complete, foundations have been poured for the new offices and internal structural steel has been installed to accommodate the connection from the kitchen around the main Hall to the foyer.
